After
a long day on your feet exploring one of the liveliest cities in the world, it
was great to have pre-booked much needed afternoon tea break... somewhere to
put your feet up, drench your thirst with a cold Iced Muscat Tea and a Pai Mu
Tan white tea melded with vanilla and slices of tropical fruit, whilst peering
over a floor-to-ceiling window view of Tokyo on the 38th floor. I
do like to sample high teas from all over the world, and although this set was
not the most impressive, it was rather traditional yet prettily presented. For
us, at that time, we just wanted relaxation time, sit in comfort and wind down
after a busy day on our feet. Of course, it was just another excuse to indulge and spoil ourselves.
A much more varied
and interesting afternoon tea, please click here to see a picture blog
of a popular afternoon tea I had at the Ekki Bar & Grill (Restaurant now
changed its name to MOTIF Restaurant & Bar) at the Four Seasons Hotel,
Marunouchi, Tokyo.
